Alia Bhatt Launches Her Clothesline

Alia Bhatt launched her clothesline in collaboration with the online shopping portal jabong.com at Four Seasons in Mumbai recently. She was the showstopper as she walked the ramp in her own best fall winter collection.

After Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty and others, now Alia Bhatt has launched her own clothesline with jabong.com, the collection named Alia Bhatt for Jabong.

Alia Bhatt chose a punk look for the ramp, like she has been recently adopting for promotions of her movies. She wore a black colored latex dress and same colored boots, complementing it with some pretty bangles and an hair kept loose. The apparel range is for the ages of 20-30 and includes bohemian line, the casual denim line or clubbing / party line, ripped jeans, leather jackets and floral. And her collection is not only about clothes, but also shoes for young girls.

Alia got the idea of designing an apparel through designer Manish Malhotra. The collection she has designed is what is similar to her own style- casual yet classy. She also adores animal print, which can be seen in most of her collections.

Talking of Alia Bhatts’ mentor Karan Johar, she said, “Yes! I want him to like my collection. There are times when I walk into his office and he says, ‘Not happening’. There are times he says, ‘This looks really nice on you’. So yes, his word means a lot to me.” Talking about fashion, Alia claimed that she was never really into fashion, and that fashion came to her through her debut movie character Shanaya who was obsessed towards fashion.

Alia Bhatt mentioned for what could be guessed by anyone. She takes Sonam Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan as her idols for fashion. Not only that, she mentioned that she would like to design for her friend Parineeti Chopra too.
